EU Guidance for transitioning to Fluorine-Free Firefighting Foams

This report aims to support the transition to PFAS-free firefighting foams.

In particular, it proposes:

- case studies of companies that have already carried out substitution;

- methods for identifying PFAS-containing foams;

- recommendations for the storage and disposal of these foams;

- techniques for cleaning infrastructure and equipment.
